Spotlight: Heaps & Woods

In a world full of synthetic sameness, Heaps & Woods seeks to bring unique, sculptural wood furniture to residences worldwide. Today, we take a look at their Heirloom Collection.

Recently, we were introduced to Heaps & Woods, a French-Catalan furniture brand with a gorgeous product portfolio and admirable mission. Led by Marta Jurado and Louis Chagnaud, Heaps & Woods is recognizable by its interesting form and decadent juxtaposition of materials.

What struck as particularly wonderful about this brand is the idea of heirlooms. As a counter to the seemingly endless consumption habits, the idea of buying something that will last generations is refreshing.

What’s more, Heaps & Woods is a brand seeped in sustainability and quality across their supply chain. They employ artisans that work with recycled and sustainably sourced materials, resulting in exceptional pieces that, quite frankly, my offspring would fight over for decades to come. Seriously.

An excerpt from the brand’s latest lookbook:

“It’s the furniture you pass down to your children, who offer it to your grandchildren.

It’s the furniture that moves from room to room and home to home. It weathers life’s parties and survives its messes. It gets better as it gets older.”

After a thorough review of the catalogue, we narrowed down our top picks and why we love ‘em. Check it out.

Curvy Dining Chair

Ideal for sparking dinner party conversations and bringing a bit of personality to traditional dining rooms, the Curvy Dining Chair comes in a gorgeous natural teak wood, these chairs add a layer of interest to dining rooms at home, but could also do double duty as a sleek desk chair in a hotel suite. For us, these chairs scream versatility. No matter where you place them, these chairs are designed to be talked about.

We’ll take six.

Cordelia Entrance Table

Designed to bridge forms found in nature with the durability and practicality of interior needs, the Cordelia Entrance Table is a visually interesting piece that challenges traditional balance and equality often prioritized in interior design. With a base facade reminiscent of coral plants, and added interest of geometric details, the Cordelia is a functional piece of furniture that challenges perceptions on what an entry table has to offer.

A perfect entry statement.

Hannah Mirror

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder with the oversized Hannah Mirror that balances the rugged, natural appeal of wicker and the sculptural scroll details that pay homage to Corinthian columns. Clocking in at six feet in diameter, this mirror is a perfect stop for OOTD selfies and other moments that beckon you to pause.
