Art Basel Paris has officially kicked off today, and the Grand Palais retains a particular, and refreshed, magic that makes the Parisian stop of the global fair something extra magical. Over 200 galleries and a slew of satellite events will bring an added layer of excitement to the French capital and potentially redirect some attention from the Louvre ‘incident’ in mid-October.

alcova miami 2025

Miami’s River Inn, where Alcova will take place again.

Alcova Miami brings its Italian influence to Miami’s historic River Inn, where artists build out guestrooms into immersive mini-galleries. We’re particularly stoked to see what Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola develops for the central plaza of the fair, a collaboration with HAYWORTH that will bridge human interaction with technological influence. In a week where the heart and soul of art gets lost in pomp and circumstance, Alcova is a place where art remains at the core of the experience. Don’t miss it.

Places

amazonico miami

Amazonico lands in Miami.

Amazonico recently opened its doors in Miami, bringing its signature Madrid (and London and Dubai) flair to the bustling Brickell neighborhood of the Magic City. Think live music, Amazon inspired interiors, and a sushi counter among other culinary delights.

RH Paris

The stunning atrium of RH Paris.

Wandering the Champs Elysees we actually found RH Paris by accident. Going inside was an experience — one that makes us want to toss our belongings out and redesign net new. The space is breathtaking and the architecture library is worth a stop. Enjoy a meal in the glassed in dining room and pretend you are living your best Parisian life for a bit.

Entering la maison. Not sponsored.

While in Paris, we stayed in the Le Jardin de Verre aparthotel by Locke Hotels. Cannot stress how much fun it is pretending to live in Paris, and this spot was perfectly located to feel part of the city. The design is beautiful and the place is always buzzing with Sorbonne students deep in their studies (even on weekends). Tip: upgrade to an open floorplan suite for in room laundry.
